As we gear up for a big season ahead, we’d like to take a moment to acknowledge the ongoing changes and improvements happening around the track at Laang Speedway. While there’s still more to come, we’re incredibly grateful for the patience and support of our community as our dedicated volunteers work hard behind the scenes to enhance the facility for both competitors and spectators.
What’s New?
One of the most noticeable upgrades is the wider spectator area along the back straight. This expansion allows for a better viewing experience and more space for fans to enjoy the action. Alongside this, we’ve extended the fence in the same area and are currently seeking sponsorship opportunities to display signage along the top. We’re also excited to share that a brand-new drinks and bar area is in the works for the back straight, scheduled to open next year. This addition is part of our ongoing commitment to improving the experience for everyone who comes through our gates.
Behind the Scenes Improvements
In the interest of safety and smoother operations, the track is now fully enclosed, introducing a single point of entry for all vehicles. This change helps reduce congestion and improves the efficiency of getting cars off the road and into the venue.
Over in the pits, we’ve made some key upgrades as well. We’ve reconfigured areas to accommodate semi-trailer parking, making life easier for larger race teams. Additionally, the lineup shoot has been revamped, streamlining car movement and preparing us for even smoother event days.
